With nearly 15 years of experience in alternative fund structures, portfolio construction, accounting, finance and banking relationships, compliance/internal controls, fund administrators, budgeting, audits, financial statements and reports, portfolio valuation, and cash flow management, Jason combines a deep-seated passion for learning, knowledge, and growth as the CFO of BioStar. Jason has served as CFO of Mantis Venture Capital, helping them raise a $100,000,000 third venture capital fund, and Regent LP, overseeing all reporting of a vast portfolio with nearly $2 billion in revenue. He also spent 4 years as VP/Controller at March Capital in Santa Monica, overseeing all accounting and finance functions, 3 years as AVP/Controller at Ares Management within private equity, and 6 years in public accounting at RSM/McGladrey working on audits of alternative investment vehicles including venture capital, private equity, and hedge funds in Minneapolis and Los Angeles. Jason received his CPA in 2011 after earning his MBA at St. Thomas in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
